Update regarding missed recycling collections posted by @Juliet Lawn:
"We regret that we will be be unable to complete some recycling collections in parts of Yeovil today Thursday, and we do not have the resources during the present health emergency to make return pick-ups.
From now on, if your recycling is not collected, please do not leave containers out or report it; take the boxes and food waste bin in and put them back out the following week. We will do our best to prioritise your next recycling collection.
To help crews finish their rounds, please rinse containers, squash all but glass and aerosols, flatten all boxes and tear card to fit in boxes, sort-segregate materials without using carrier bags, and put out by 7am. All food waste must go in the food waste bin.
As a very last resort, put the minimum of materials that cannot be stored into your rubbish (with food double bagged).
Rubbish collections and clinical waste continue as usual. If either of these are missed, report it with the pull-down My Waste Services menu at https://www.somersetwaste.gov.uk or via district council customer services: https://www.somersetwaste.gov.uk/contact-us/
