Chilthorne Domer Church School is recruiting volunteers in your area who are willing to donate their time to help improve the outcomes of children in local schools and academies, whether as a long-term proposition or in the short-term.
The purpose of governance is to provide confident, strategic leadership and to create robust accountability, oversight and assurance for educational and financial performance. This vital role does involve a time commitment through attendance at meetings, normally held in the evening.
At these meetings, you and the other members of the governance board will offer critical advice and scrutiny of the decisions and policies of the school. The role also involves visits into the school during the day to understand the context of the educational setting.
